This unique camp will have multiple “small area” Game Situation shooting stations that will focus on offensive strategies and skills for the players, as well as proper save, positioning, and game skill instruction for the goalies.
PLAYERS
Players will learn the goaltenders tendencies and how to score in a game simulated setting with limited time and space. There will be an emphasis on quick releases, one-timers, tips and redirects as well as tactics designed to “open up” the goalie. Small area escape moves and several offensive strategies will be taught and drilled in order to maximize offensive skills. There will a high number of repetitions with small group stations.
GOALTENDERS
Goaltenders will learn where the players shoot in a limited time and space environment. Goaltenders will also learn and use a variety of save selection techniques including RVH, VH, and all variations of the butterfly. They will also work on “reading the release” and finding the “shot lane”. There will be an emphasis on lateral movement (both up and down); rebound control; and learning how and when to hold edges and be patient. Repetition on each game drill for proper fundamentals and mechanics will be reinforced. This will be an intense camp for goaltenders to simulate the challenging situations, broken plays, traffic, and the speed of AAA hockey.
About
Each day will consist of (2) ice sessions coupled with classroom sessions; NHL and game situation analysis, mental training, and off – ice training sessions.
Classroom Sessions

There will also be discussions on the best avenues to advance through the hockey ranks.
Video Technique Analysis
Students will learn how to refine the physical part of their game by reviewing their own video with the coaching staff.
